The 2012 Billboard Music Awards posthumously honored Whitney Houston with the Billboard Millennium Award with a tribute which included performances by Jordin Sparks and John Legend. Sparks plays Houston’s daughter in the upcoming dramatic movie, Sparkle, and honored the six-time Grammy winner’s memory by singing her iconic hit, “I Will Always Love You.”
Houston’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina, and her sister-in-law, Pat Houston, accepted the Billboard Millennium Award for Houston, with Bobbi Kristina saying, “”Thank you for supporting her through the good and the bad [and] showing that much love because she deserved it.”
