‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Announces a Special Sing-Along Event

Netflix’s surprise hit KPop Demon Hunters is getting a brief theatrical release, hosting a special sing-along event on August 23 and 24, 2025. Tickets will be available—while they last—via SingKPopDemonHunters.com starting August 13 at 6am PT.

The movie, which is Netflix’s most popular animated film to date, features songs written by EJAE, Mark Sonnenblick, TEDDY, 24, Danny Chung, IDO, Vince, KUSH, DOMINSUK, Jenna Andrews, Stephen Kirk, Lindgren, and Daniel Rojas. Performers include EJAE, AUDREY NUNA, REI AMI, Andrew Choi, Danny Chung, Kevin Woo, samUIL Lee, Neckwav, and Lea Salonga. Plus, Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung of TWICE perform the original song “Takedown” during the final credits.

“When they aren’t selling out stadiums, Kpop superstars Rumi, Mira and Zoey use their secret identities as badass demon hunters to protect their fans from an ever-present supernatural threat,” reads Netflix’s synopsis. “Together, they must face their biggest enemy yet—an irresistible rival boy band of demons in disguise.”

KPop Demon Hunters‘ soundtrack has garnered 3 billion global streams. The film, directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, is the first original animated movie to make Netflix’s Most Popular Movies List (English).

The voice cast includes Arden Cho, Ahn Hyo-seop, May Hong, Ji-young Yoo, Yunjin Kim, Joel Kim Booster, Liza Koshy, Daniel Dae Kim, Ken Jeong, and Byung Hun Lee. Danya Jimenez, Hannah McMechan, Kang, and Appelhans wrote the screenplay, and Michelle L.M. Wong is the producer.
