‘Legacies’ Season 1 Episode 2 Preview and Photos: “Some People Just Want to Watch the World Burn”

The CW’s The Originals spinoff, Legacies, debuted on October 25, 2018 with an episode titled “This is the Part Where You Run.” The series premiere introduced a batch of supporting players who’ll play pivotal roles during Hope’s time at The Salvatore Boarding School for the Young and Gifted. It also set up the new supernatural world Hope will be coping with on her own, away from the Mikaelsons.

Up next, season one episode two titled “Some People Just Want to Watch the World Burn” airing November 1, 2018. The episode was directed by Michael Allowitz from a script by Brett Matthews and Julie Plec.

The first season’s cast includes Danielle Rose Russell as Hope, Matt Davis as Alaric Saltzman, Jenny Boyd as Lizzie Saltzman, Kaylee Bryant as Josie Saltzman, and Quincy Fouse as Milton Greasley/MG. Aria Shahghasemi is Landon Kirby and Peyton Alex Smith plays Rafael Waithe.

The “Some People Just Want to Watch the World Burn” Plot: THE SEARCH FOR LANDON — Alaric (Davis), Hope (Russell) and Rafael (Smith) hit the road in search of Landon (Shahghasemi), who’s sudden disappearance has raised some suspicion. Meanwhile, during an annual flag football game against Mystic Falls High, Lizzie (Boyd) and Josie’s (Bryant) plan to stay under the radar quickly gets derailed after Penelope (guest star Lulu Antariksa) gets involved.

The Season One Plot:

“For the last decade, the iconic heroes and villains of The Vampire Diaries and The Originals have captivated audiences worldwide. They left an enduring legacy of love and family in their wake, which continues in Legacies, a thrilling new drama that tells the story of the next generation of supernatural beings at The Salvatore Boarding School for the Young and Gifted. It’s here that Klaus Mikaelson’s daughter, 17-year-old Hope Mikaelson; Alaric Saltzman’s twins, Lizzie and Josie Saltzman ; and other young adults — including high-energy vampire MG, newly-triggered werewolf Rafael Waithe and the mysterious Landon Kirby — come of age in the most unconventional way possible, nurtured to be their best selves…in spite of their worst impulses.

Will these young witches, vampires and werewolves become the heroes they want to be — or the villains they were born to be? As they fight to protect their secret, their town of Mystic Falls and eventually the world, they will have to rely on ancient folklore and tales to learn how to battle their far-reaching enemies.”
