Paramount Network’s Lip Sync Battle returns on January 17, 2019 at 9pm ET/PT with a 12 episode fifth season. In support of the new season, Lip Sync Battle host/two-time Grammy Award winner LL Cool J and commentator/Twitter superstar Chrissy Teigen showed off their own lip syncing skills to Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock’s “It Takes Two.”
The two-minute video also serves to promote the upcoming season’s celebrity battles. Among the celebs taking the stage in friendly battles for season five are Darren Criss, Jermaine Dupri, Andy Roddick, Brooklyn Decker, Jason Schwartzman, Big Bird, Lele Pons, Prince Royce, and the cast of Queer Eye (Tan France, Antoni Porowski, Bobby Berk, Karamo Brown and Jonathan Van Ness).
Lip Sync Battle was nominated in 2016, 2017, and 2018 for Primetime Emmys in the “Outstanding Structured Reality Program” category. The series has also been nominated for two Producers Guild of America “Outstanding Producer of Competition Television” awards. And, LL Cool J won an Image Award for “Outstanding Host in a Reality/Reality Competition, Game Show or Variety (Series or Special) – Individual or Ensemble” in 2018 for his work hosting the series.
