‘Lucifer’ Bonus Episodes Preview: Plots, Photos and Air Date

Fox dumped Lucifer which created one of the largest social media campaigns to save a series ever launched by fans. The #SaveLucifer and #PickUpLucifer continue to trend more than a week after the popular series was cancelled after airing for three seasons. Fox, likely in response to the fan campaigns, has announced they’ll air two “bonus” episodes which would have been part of season four, if it existed.

“Boo Normal” and “Once Upon a Time” will air back-to-back on Monday, May 28, 2018 beginning at 8pm ET/PT.

As series co-showrunner Joe Henderson explained on Twitter, the episodes aren’t connected to each other plot-wise. “The first episode is set after the finale (and will be a little confusing because of that, but roll with it and you’ll end up with a super fun episode). The second one stands COMPLETELY on its own.”

Henderson also revealed, “Just did the final sound mix for Lucifer 326, ‘Once Upon a Time,’ which will air next Monday. Hearing @neilhimself narrate the episode is… well, divine. #SaveLucifer #PickUpLucifer”

Season three stars Tom Ellis as Lucifer, Lauren German as Chloe, DB Woodside as Amenadiel, Lesley-Ann Brandt as Maze, Kevin Alejandro as Dan, Scarlett Estevez as Trixie, Rachael Harris as Linda Martin, Tricia Helfer as Charlotte, Aimee Garcia as Ella, and Tom Welling as Marcus Pierce/Cain.

The bonus episodes (which would have been a part of season four) guest casts include Neil Gaiman as God, Charlyne Yi as Ray-Ray/Azreal, Madeleine Coghlan as Beckett Wilson, Nadine Ellis as Iris/Purple Wolf, Louis Herthum as Lt. John Decker, Brian Tee as Ben Rogers, and David Meunier as Rex Wilson.

The “Boo Normal/Once Upon a Time” Plots: As Lucifer and the team investigate the murder of a child psychiatrist, Ella thinks about a big childhood secret that she’s been hiding. Then, in Part Two, which was directed by cast member Kevin Alejandro, an alternate dimension is visited where Lucifer not only has never met Chloe, but is granted the freedom of choice. “American Gods” author Neil Gaiman voices God, who serves as the narrator.
