‘Lucifer’ Season 2 Episode 17 Preview: Sympathy for the Goddess Photos and Trailer

Fox’s Lucifer season two episode 16 ended with the Devil even more upset with this father than usual. Episode 16 found Lucifer spending time in a mental hospital alongside a man who claimed to be God. Unfortunately for Lucifer, God wasn’t actually God and instead was a guy who unknowingly stumbled across a piece of the Flaming Sword and was using it as a belt buckle. By the time the episode ended, Lucifer had gone through a range of emotions, landing on anger after figuring out his real father would never engage in the conversations he and fake dad had over the course of 72 hours.

The ‘Sympathy for the Goddess’ Plot: When the man who had the final piece of the Flaming Sword is murdered and the piece goes missing, Mom joins Chloe and Lucifer on the case to track down the killer. But when Lucifer gets sidelined, Maze recruits him to help save Dr. Linda’s endangered career and confronts him about the secrets he’s been keeping.
