The new behind-the-scenes video from Netflix’s Marco Polo shows off the fight training that went into bringing the action-adventure tale to life on the small screen. According to executive producer Daniel Minahan, all of the actors did all of their own fighting in the series, training extensively in martial arts before and during the production of the show.
Marco Polo will premiere on December 12, 2014 at 12:01am PT exclusively on Netflix. The series stars Lorenzo Richelmy in the title role and features Benedict Wong, Joan Chen, Chin Han, Zhu Zhu, Olivia Cheng, Claudia Kim, Mahesh Jadu, Tom Wu, Remy Hii, Uli Latukefu, and Rick Yune.
The Plot:
In a world replete with greed, betrayal, sexual intrigue, and rivalry, Marco Polo is based on the famed explorer’s adventures in Kublai Khan’s court in 13th century China.
