The original series Marco Polo, which will be streaming on Netflix beginning on December 12, 2014 at 12:01am PT, has released five brand new photos. The new pictures feature series star Lorenzo Richelmy along with Zhu Zhu, Remy Hii, Mahesh Jadu, Amr Waked, Benedict Wong, and Joan Chen.

Richelmy plays Marco Polo in this tale of “greed, betrayal, sexual intrigue and rivalry” based on Marco Polo’s 13th-century adventures in China. The series was created by John Fusco (Hidalgo) who executive produces along with Harvey Weinstein, Dan Minahan, Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg. Season one’s first two episodes were directed by Rønning and Sandberg with Minahan directing two more of the show’s 10 episodes.
