The official Marshals season two trailer confirms the key cast members are back for the new season. In the two-minute trailer, Kayce (Luke Grimes) confesses he’s learned the Dutton legacy isn’t about land. “It’s about always having to fight. It’s like, no matter where I live, someone’s willing to kill for it.”
Season two kicks off with episode one, “All Hat No Cattle,” airing on Sunday, October 4, 2026 at 8pm PT/8:30pm ET. CBS released this description of the season premiere:
“When Kayce realizes Tate has been taken hostage, he goes rogue in a desperate race to save his son as the Marshals uncover a powerful criminal operation tied to the East Camp land grab. A violent showdown ensues, putting everything Kayce cares about at risk.”
In addition to Luke Grimes reprising his role as Kayce Dutton, Logan Marshall-Green returns as Pete Calvin, Arielle Kebbel’s back as Belle Skinner, Andrea Cruz plays Ash Santos, and Tatanka Means returns as Mile Kittle. Yellowstone‘s Brecken Merrill, Mo Brings Plenty, and Gil Birmingham are back as Tate, Mo, and Thomas Rainwater.
Grimes, Taylor Sheridan, David Glasser, John Linson, Art Linson, Spencer Hudnut, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, and Michael Freidman serve as executive producers.

With the Yellowstone Ranch behind him, Kayce Dutton joins an elite unit of U.S. Marshals, combining his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring range justice to Montana. Kayce and his teammates – Pete Calvin, Belle Skinner, Andrea Cruz, and Miles Kittle – must balance the high psychological cost of serving as the last line of defense in the region’s war on violence with their duty to their families, which for Kayce includes his son Tate and his confidantes Mo and Thomas Rainwater from the Broken Rock reservation.
