Netflix’s One Piece just announced four additional actors in recurring guest roles in the upcoming third season. The streamer also confirmed that production in Cape Town, South Africa, has finished.
The newcomers to One Piece: The Battle of Alabasta include Emilio Sakraya (Those About to Die) as Koza, Omid Abtahi (The Mandalorian) as Toto, Jamie Ward (The Gentlemen) as Pell, and Nabeel Khan (Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom) as Chaka. They join a cast led by Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji.
The ensemble also includes Charithra Chandran as Miss Wednesday, Mikaela Hoover as Chopper, Joe Manganiello as Mr. 0, Lera Abova as Miss All Sunday, and Sendhil Ramamurthy as Nefartari Cobra. Plus, Cole Escola plays Bon Clay, Xolo Maridueña is Portgas D. Ace, Daisy Head is Miss Doublefinger, and Awdo Awdo is Mr. 1.
Netflix’s synopsis for the upcoming third season reads:
“The Battle of Alabasta: After entering the treacherous Grand Line, war is coming for Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat crew in the desert kingdom of Alabasta, Princess Vivi’s homeland. A rebellion threatens to tear the nation apart, fueled in secret by one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, the ruthless Sir Crocodile, and his underground syndicate Baroque Works, who seek to conquer Alabasta for themselves.
In a season defined by unbreakable bonds and impossible choices, the Straw Hats must face a brewing civil war and a powerful warlord to save Vivi’s kingdom before it crumbles into the sand.”
The popular series is based on Eiichiro Oda’s biggest-selling manga series of all time. Season one premiered in August 2023, and season two finally arrived in March 2026. Netflix hasn’t announced an exact date but did promise a 2027 premiere.
Joe Tracz and Ian Stokes are the co-showrunners, writers, and executive producers. Tetsu Fujimura, Chris Symes, Christoph Schrewe, Steven Maeda, and Tomorrow Studios’ Eiichiro Oda, Marty Adelstein, and Becky Clements also serve as executive producers.
