Netflix has released the first three photos from the upcoming second season of the dramatic series Orange is the New Black. Season two will consist of 13 episodes, all of which will be available for viewing on Netflix on June 6, 2014.
The new photos feature cast members Taylor Schilling, Kate Mulgrew, Lorraine Toussaint (new to the cast for season 2), Danielle Brooks, Lin Tucci, Natasha Lyonne, Yael Stone, Jackie Cruz, Emma Myles and Laverne Cox. Not pictured are returning cast members Jason Biggs, Laura Prepon, Uzo Aduba, Taryn Manning, Michael Harney, and Samira Wiley.
Season two promises “a closer look at our favorite, darkly funny prisoners; their shifting alliances within Litchfield and conflicts we never saw coming.” The series is based on the Piper Kerman’s book and is executive produced by Jenji Kohan.
