The official trailer for YouTube Originals’ sci-fi thriller, Origin, premiered during the New York Comic Con and then debuted online after its screening at Comic Con for those who couldn’t make the New York convention. Cast members and Harry Potter veterans Tom Felton and Natalia Tena introduced the trailer at NYCC while participating on a panel promoting the show’s upcoming premiere.
Origin was created by writer/executive producer Mika Watkins. Andy Harries, Suzanne Mackie, Rob Bullock, Josh Appelbaum, André Nemec, Jeff Pinkner, and Resident Evil‘s Paul W.S. Anderson serve as executive producers. The series is a Left Bank / CiTVC co-production in association with Sony Pictures Television.
In addition to Tom Felton and Natalia Tena, the cast includes Sen Mitsuji, Nora Arnezeder, Fraser James, Philipp Christopher, Nina Wadia, Madalyn Horcher, Siobahn Cullen, Adelayo Adedayo and Wil Coban.
Origin will premiere on YouTube Premium on November 14, 2018. Season one will consist of 10 episodes.
The Origin Plot:
“From the producers of The Crown & producers of Lost comes Origin, a chilling new original series that follows a group of troubled passengers as they wake up on a damaged spaceship abandoned in deep space. Each having left behind a dark past in search of a fresh start on a newly colonized planet, they’re determined to survive at all costs. But as their terrifying situation spirals into paranoia, they come to realize that the greatest threat to their dream of starting over – and indeed their lives – is something far darker than the pasts they were so desperate to escape.”
