HBO Max’s critically acclaimed comedy The Other Two will return for season three on May 4, 2023 with the release of the first two episodes. New episodes of the 10-episode season will arrive on Thursdays.
Season two sits at 96% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes and earned a Critics Choice Awards nomination for Best Comedy Series.
The Other Two stars Molly Shannon as Pat, Drew Tarver as Cary, Heléne Yorke as Brooke, Case Walker as Chase, and Ken Marino as Streeter. Season three recurring cast members include Josh Segarra as Lance, Wanda Sykes as Shuli, and Brandon Scott Jones as Curtis.
Richard Kind, Kate Berlant, Jimmy Fowlie, Alison Rich, Ali Ahn, and Marcia DeBonis are back as guest stars. New guest stars include Simu Liu, Fin Argus, Ann Dowd, Edie Falco, Ben Platt, Dylan O’Brien, Lukas Gage, Kiernan Shipka, Lawrence O’Donnell, Spike Einbinder, Andrea Boehlke, and Dana Delaney.
Emmy nominees Chris Kelly and Sarah Schneider (former head writers on SNL) created the series and serve as writers, directors, and executive producers. Lorne Michaels, Andrew Singer, and Blair Breard also executive produce, with Micah Frank, Eddie Michaels, Ally Engelberg, Marc Lieberman, and Gwen Bialic producing.
The series is produced by Broadway Video, Above Average, and MTV Entertainment Studios.
The Season 3 Plot:
After comparing themselves for years to their much-younger pop star brother, ChaseDreams (Walker), who is now a full adult, and their talk-show host mother (Shannon), who’s now more powerful than she could have ever imagined, Brooke and Cary (Yorke and Tarver) are finally standing on their own two feet — fully “successful” in their own right! And yet, they somehow find themselves comparing themselves to new people once again???
