Starz’s Outlander prequel Outlander: Blood of My Blood has added six new cast members to its 10-episode season. The newcomers to the world created by Diana Gabaldon include Sally Messham, Terence Rae, Sadhbh Malin, Ailsa Davidson, Annabelle Dowler, and Harry Eaton.

Outlander: Blood of My Blood will explore the lives and relationship of Claire’s parents, Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine) and Jamie’s parents, Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater) and Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy). The series will center on these two parallel love stories set in two different time periods, with Jamie’s parents in the early 18th century Scottish Highlands and Claire’s parents in WWI England,” reads Starz’s synopsis.

The New Outlander: Blood of My Blood Cast and Characters:

  • Sally Messham (A Small Light) plays “Mrs. Fitz,” Ellen’s maid at Castle Leoch and Murtagh’s aunt.
  • Terence Rae (The Cyclops) will be playing another role familiar to fans of the flagship series, “Arch Bug,” who’s working as a bodyguard to Clan Grant.
  • Sadhbh Malin (Conversations with Friends) will play fan-favorite character “Jocasta Cameron,” the feisty youngest child of the MacKenzie clan.
  • Ailsa Davidson (Halo) plays sister “Janet MacKenzie,” the fifth (and final) MacKenzie sibling.
  • Annabelle Dowler (The Reckoning) joins the cast as “Lizbeth,” Julia’s boss at the War Department in the 20th Century.
  • Harry Eaton (Extraordinary) plays “Private Charlton,” Henry Beauchamp’s fellow soldier and friend.

The previously announced cast includes Peter Mullan (Ozark), Brian McCardie (Rob Roy), Jhon Lumsden (The Famous Five), and Sara Vickers (Watchmen), Tony Curran (Mary & George). Rory Alexander (Inland), Sam Retford (Hoard), Séamus McLean Ross (Rebus), and Conor MacNeill (The Tourist) also star.

Matthew B Roberts guides Outlander and its first prequel as showrunner and executive producer. Additional executive producers include Ronald D. Moore, Maril Davis, and Story Mining & Supply Company. Gabaldon is involved as a consulting producer.

Outlander returns this November with the second half of season seven. Filming is currently underway on the eighth and final 10-episode season.
