‘Outlander’ Season 7 Releases Two Clips

Starz’s Outlander unveiled two one-minute clips from the upcoming seventh season of the time-traveling romantic drama during the “Women of Outlander” panel at the ATX TV Festival on June 1, 2023. (June 1st is World Outlander Day.) The first clip features Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) discussing Jamie’s dream in which he saw Claire in her proper time.

The light shining on her as she wrote at her desk wasn’t candlelight. He believes it must have been an electric light which led him to assume she was in her real time period.

Claire wonders how he could dream of something he’s never seen before, and Jamie points out he often dreams of unfamiliar landscapes. “Oh, I dream of the past. Why would I not dream of the future?” asks Jamie.

The “Jamie’s Dreams” clip ends with a sweet kiss.

The second clip, “God Luck,” focuses on Roger (Richard Rankin) and Brianna (Sophie Skelton) as they talk about Roger ministering to soldiers. He claims to be tough and reveals a “wild” youth in which he smoked, drank, and even stole a few things. Brianna jokes that he was the terror of Inverness, and Roger laughs.

The clip concludes with Brianna asking how you wish a preacher good luck. “Break a leg doesn’t seem right,” muses Brianna. Roger suggests that instead she should say, “God luck.”

The first half of Outlander season seven will premiere on Starz on June 16, 2023. New episodes will drop on Fridays at midnight on the Starz app, and on Starz linear on Fridays at 8pm ET/PT.

The Plot, Courtesy of Starz:

Following the harrowing events of season six, Jamie and Young Ian race to rescue Claire before she’s tried and wrongfully convicted for the murder of Malva Christie. But their mission is complicated by the beginning of a geopolitical firestorm: The American Revolution has arrived.

In the seventh season of Outlander, Jamie, Claire, and their family are caught in the violent birth pains of an emerging nation as armies march to war and British institutions crumble in the face of armed rebellion.

The land the Frasers call home is changing – and they must change with it. In order to protect what they’ve built, the Frasers have to navigate the perils of the Revolutionary War. They learn that sometimes to defend what you love, you have to leave it behind. As the conflict draws them out of North Carolina and into the heart of this fight for independence, Jamie, Claire, Brianna, and Roger are faced with impossible decisions that have the potential to tear their family apart.
