Apple TV+’s award-winning drama Pachinko will return for season two on August 23, 2024. New episodes of the eight-episode second season will stream on Fridays, leading up to the finale on October 11th.
Lee Minho, Minha Kim, Anna Sawai, Yuh-Jung Youn, and Jin Ha star in the second second. The cast also includes Eunchae Jung, Soji Arai, Junwoo Han, and Sungkyu Kim.
“Based on The New York Times bestselling novel of the same name, Pachinko is a sweeping and deeply moving story of love and survival across four generations,” reads Apple TV+’s synopsis. Soo Hugh created the series and serves as writer and executive producer. Media Res’ Michael Ellenberg and Lindsey Springer also executive produce, along with Theresa Kang for Blue Marble Pictures.
The new season is directed by Leanne Welham, Arvin Chen, and Sang-il Lee.
Season one premiered in March 2022 and earned a Peabody, an AFI Award, a Gotham Independent Film Award, an Independent Spirit Award, an Art Directors Guild Award, and a Critics Choice Award. The first season sits at 97% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.
