The March 28, 2013 season three finale of Raising Hope sent the series off on hiatus on a high note, taking every opportunity possible to insert a musical number. After Burt (Garret Dillahunt) is told he’s Jewish by his mom and dad (Shirley Jones and Lee Majors), he sets out on a quest to find out exactly what that means. And what better place to kick off his journey of discovery than in a deli.
The Plot:
Burt’s parents come to town with the surprising news that he actually is Jewish. So Burt takes a musical crash course in his newfound heritage to prepare for the Bar Mitzvah he never had. Then, it’s a Mother’s Day to remember as Burt and Barney take a road trip to Maw Maw’s childhood home and discover that her mother may still be alive.
