ABC’s R.J. Decker returns for its second season on September 15, 2026, with Scott Speedman back as the titular character. The first season premiered in March 2026, and just weeks after its finale, the network renewed the popular drama for season two.
New episodes will air on Tuesdays at 10pm ET/PT.
“The Point of Us Breaking” Plot: A reunion with an old prison acquaintance pulls R.J. into a string of daring bank heists as the fallout from Victor Ochoa’s death deepens.
In addition to Scott Speedman, R.J. Decker stars Jaina Lee Ortiz as Emilia “Emi” Ochoa, Bevin Bru as Detective Melody “Mel” Abreu, Kevin Rankin as Aloysius “Wish” Aiken, and Adelaide Clemens as Catherine Delacroix. Sasheer Zamata guest stars as Special Agent Melinda Winwood.

R.J. Decker is a former newspaper photographer and ex-con who starts over as a private investigator in the colorful-if-crime-filled world of South Florida. The series follows him tackling cases that range from slightly odd to outright bizarre with the help of his journalist ex, her police detective wife, his former cellmate turned confidant and a shadowy woman from his past.
The series is written by Rob Doherty (Elementary) and is inspired by Carl Hiaasen’s novel Double Whammy. Doherty serves as showrunner and executive producer. Additional executive producers include Scott Speedman, Carl Hiaasen, Carl Beverly, Sarah Timberman, Jason Tracey, and Liz Friedman.
