Stranger Things‘ Sadie Sink is confirmed to star in The Marriage Plot, based on Jeffrey Eugenides’ bestselling novel. FX has given the adaptation a limited series order, with Sink attached to star in and executive produce the romantic drama.
Will Arbery (Succession) is adapting the novel and will executive produce. Hiro Murai (Widow’s Bay) will direct and executive produce.

Additional executive producers include author Jeffrey Eugenides, Steven Prinz and Rachel Jacobs for Borderless Pictures, Michael Costigan and Jason Bateman for Aggregate Films, and Carver Karaszewski and Claudia Shin for Chum Films. Yiyi Huang is on board as a producer.
The Marriage Plot is produced by A24 and FX Productions.

Sink’s recent credits include Stranger Things, O’Dessa, The Whale, Fear Street, and Dear Zoe. Sink’s next big project is Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
