‘Severance’ Season 2 Trailer: Lumon Employees Return to Work

It’s been two and a half years since Severance‘s season one finale, so it’s understandable if the trailer leaves you a little confused. Fortunately, there’s plenty of time for a refresher since season two isn’t premiering until January 17, 2025.

New episodes of the 10-episode season will stream on Fridays, with the season two finale set for March 21st.

Emmy Award nominee Adam Scott returns to lead a cast that includes Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, Zach Cherry, Jen Tullock, Michael Chernus, Dichen Lachman, Emmy Award winner John Turturro, Oscar winner Christopher Walken, and Oscar/Emmy winner Patricia Arquette. Sarah Bock joins the cast for the new season.

“In Severance, Mark Scout (Scott) leads a team at Lumon Industries, whose employees have undergone a severance procedure, which surgically divides their memories between their work and personal lives. This daring experiment in ‘work-life balance’ is called into question as Mark finds himself at the center of an unraveling mystery that will force him to confront the true nature of his work… and of himself,” reads Apple TV+’s synopsis. “In season two, Mark and his friends learn the dire consequences of trifling with the severance barrier, leading them further down a path of woe.”

Dan Erickson created the series and serves as writer and executive producer. Additional executive producers include Adam Scott, Patricia Arquette, John Lesher, Jackie Cohn, Mark Friedman, Beau Willimon, Jordan Tappis, Sam Donovan, Caroline Baron, Richard Schwartz, and Nicholas Weinstock. Ben Stiller also executive produces and directs five of the second season’s episodes. Uta Bresiewitz, Sam Donovan, and Jessica Lee Gagné also direct season two episodes.
