‘SkyMed’ Season 2 Preview: Who’s In It and What’s It About?

Filming is now underway on season two of Paramount+ SkyMed. Paramount+, CBC, and Piazza Entertainment announced season two of the medical drama is currently shooting in Ontario and Manitoba. However, the announcement didn’t include a targeted premiere date.

Season one consisted of nine episodes and debuted on July 10, 2022. Season two will also have a nine-episode run.

Natasha Calis, Aason Nadjiwon, Morgan Holmstrom, Praneet Akilla, Thomas Elms, Mercedes Morris, and Kheon Clarke return as series regulars. The SkyMed ensemble is adding Sydney Kuhne (Ginny & Georgia), Ryan Ali (Aquaslash), and Nadine Whiteman-Roden (Faith Heist) for season two.

SkyMed was created by Julie Puckrin who was inspired by her sister and brother-in-law, who met while flying air ambulances. Puckrin, Gillian Hormel, and Vanessa Piazza serve as executive producers. The series is produced by Piazza Entertainment in association with CBC and CBS Studios.

The young medics and pilots flying air ambulances return for more life, death, and drama in the skies of remote Northern Canada. SkyMed‘s second season promises new hookups, breakups, and heartbreaks as the medevac service expands into new territory, throwing the flight crew into intense new emergencies at work and in their personal lives.

Natasha Calis plays Nurse Hayley Roberts, Aason (Ace) Nadjiwon is golden boy pilot Captain Austen Bodie, Morgan Holmstrom is no-nonsense Nurse Crystal Highway, and Praneet Akilla is First Officer Chopper. Thomas Elms stars as icy-cool pilot Captain Nowak, Mercedes Morris is First Officer Lexi Martine, and Kheon Clarke plays Nurse Tristan Green.

Sydney Kuhne is fiery new flight medic Stef, Ryan Ali is handsome young pilot Reese, and Nadine Whiteman-Roden is Dr. Yana Noah. Season two will also feature Braeden Clarke reprising his recurring role as Crystal’s charming on-again-off-again love interest, Jeremy Wood. Aaron Ashmore returns as Wheezer, the wise-cracking big brother that everyone looks up to.
