Whatever the reason, the October 20, 2012 episode with Mars pulled in more viewers than any SNL episode since Lindsay Lohan hosted the show back in March.
One of the more popular skits of the night was the episode’s opening bit poking fun at the 2nd Presidential Debate. Even Oscar-winner Tom Hanks, starring in Cloud Atlas which will premiere in theaters October 26th, showed up for a cameo as an undecided voter during the skit.
