
FX just revealed the title for the upcoming Snowfall spinoff, set to premiere in 2026. The spinoff starring Gail Bean as Wanda and Isaiah John as Leon is officially The Drop: A Snowfall Saga.
Asante Blackk, Peyton Alex Smith, and Simmie “Buddy” Sims III star along with Bean and John in the spinoff’s first season. The cast also includes Mykelti Williamson, Nicki Micheaux, Brandon Mychal Smith, Isidora Goreshter, Eric Balfour, Richard Portnow, Zaire Adams, and Demetrius Grosse. And Quincy Chad reprises his role as Big Deon.
“Set in ’90s Los Angeles, the new series follows Snowfall characters Wanda and Leon as they fight to take West Coast rap mainstream while gang wars erupt and record labels move to exploit hip hop culture for their own gain,” reads FX’s synopsis.
The spinoff was created by Malcolm Spellman and is executive produced by Spellman, Dave Andron, Thomas Schlamme, Julie DeJoie, Michael London, Trevor Engelson, and Paul Garnes.
Snowfall premiered in July 2017 and ran for six seasons, finishing up in April 2023.
