Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Drops a Fun Season 3 Clip

Paramount+’s San Diego Comic-Con Star Trek: Strange New Worlds panel featured executive producers Alex Kurtzman, Akiva Goldsman, and Henry Alonso Myers, along with series stars Ethan Peck and Rebecca Romijn. In addition to answering questions from fans, the panel debuted a lengthy first clip from the upcoming third season of the popular series. It’s nearly impossible to describe the clip; it’s much more fun to just soak it in.

The panel attendees were also the first to find out that Cillian O’Sullivan (In From The Cold) will play Dr. Roger Korby. The character was first played by Michael Strong in the original Star Trek series. O’Sullivan joins as a recurring guest star.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is based on the years Captain Christopher Pike manned the helm of the U.S.S. Enterprise. The series follows Captain Pike, Science Officer Spock, Number One and the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise, in the years before Captain Kirk boarded the starship, as they explore new worlds around the galaxy,” reads Paramount+’s synopsis.

Season two debuted in June 2023 and season three will arrive in 2025. Paramount+ already announced the show will stick around for a fourth season. Executive producers include Alex Kurtzman, Akiva Goldsman, Jenny Lumet, Henry Alonso Myers, Aaron Baiers, Dana Horgan, Davy Perez, Frank Siracusa, John Weber, Rod Roddenberry, and Trevor Roth.
