Disney+ teased the upcoming second season of the animated Star Wars series Star Wars: The Bad Batch during the 2022 Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, CA. The one-minute teaser trailer arrived along with an official season two synopsis and photos from the Star Wars Celebration panel.
Voice cast members Dee Bradley Baker (the voice of all the “Bad Batch” characters) and Michelle Ang (“Omega”) joined filmmakers Brad Rau, supervising director/executive producer Brad Rau, head writer/executive producer Jennifer Corbett, and story editor Matt Michnovetz for the first in-person Star Wars Celebration in three years.
Disney+ didn’t confirm when season two will premiere, other than they’re targeting a fall release. The 16-episode first season debuted in May 2021. Season two will also consist of 16 episodes.
Disney+ released the following official synopsis:
“Months have passed since the events on Kamino and the Bad Batch continue their journey navigating the Empire after the fall of the Republic. They will cross paths with friends and foes, both new and familiar, as they take on a variety of thrilling mercenary missions that will take them to unexpected and dangerous new places.”
