Season one of Power just debuted on June 7, 2014 and already Starz has given the show an order for a second season. Created by Courtney Kemp Agboh and executive produced by Kemp Agboh, Curtis 50 Cent Jackson, Mark Canton, David Knoller, and Randall Emmett, Power‘s first season starring Omari Hardwick will have an eight-episode run while season two has been bumped to 10 episodes.

According to the network, season two will shoot in New York this fall.

“I am so grateful to Chris Albrecht, Carmi Zlotnik, and everyone at Starz for their support of Power. I am thrilled and excited to have the opportunity to create a season two that we plan to be bigger and better than the first,” said Kemp Agboh.

Power is a project extremely close to my heart, and working with Chris Albrecht, Carmi Zlotnik, and the Starz team has been the perfect fit for this. Viewers may be loving the start of season one now, but season two will blow them away,” added Jackson.

In addition to Hardwick, the Power cast includes Lela Loren, Naturi Naughton, Joseph Sikora, Andy Bean, Sinqua Walls, Adam Huss, Greg Serano, Lucy Walters, Kathrine Narducci and Luis Antonio Ramos.
