‘Supergirl’ Season 2 Finale Preview: Nevertheless, She Persisted Photos and Trailer

The CW’s Supergirl finishes up season two with an episode that welcomes back Tyler Hoechlin as Superman. Season two episode 21 found #TeamSupergirl in a reluctant partnership with Lillian Luthor (Brenda Strong) to save the city and rescue Mike/Mon-El and Lena Luthor. Season two episode 22 continues the fight against Rhea for control of National City. Directed by Glen Winter from a script by Robert Rovner and Caitlin Parrish, season two’s finale titled ‘Nevertheless, She Persisted’ will air on May 22, 2017.


The season two cast includes Melissa Benoist as Kara/Supergirl, Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers, Chris Wood as Mike/Mon-El, Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen, Jeremy Jordan as Winn Schott, David Harewood as J’onn J’onzz, Katie McGrath as Lena Luthor, and Floriana Lima as Maggie Sawyer.

The ‘Nevertheless, She Persisted’ Plot: SUPERGIRL FIGHTS FOR HER CITY; SUPERMAN RETURNS – Supergirl (Benoist) challenges Rhea (guest star Teri Hatcher) to battle to save National City. Meanwhile, Superman (guest star Tyler Hoechlin) returns and Cat Grant (guest star Calista Flockhart) offers Supergirl some sage advice.
