‘Ted Lasso’ Season 2 Trailer: Are You Ready to Believe Again?

Jason Sudeikis returns as the eternally optimistic, fish-out-of-water soccer coach Ted Lasso in the season two trailer for Apple TV+’s award-winning comedy. The new trailer confirms Ted is ready to lead AFC Richmond to victory once again, although it appears wins are going to be hard to come by early on in the season.

Returning Ted Lasso stars include Hannah Waddingham, Brendan Hunt, Jeremy Swift, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Phil Dunster, and Nick Mohammed. Sarah Niles takes on the role of Sharon, “a sports psychologist who has been brought in to work with AFC Richmond,” in season two.

Apple TV+ has set a July 23, 2021 premiere date. Season two kicks off with the release of two episodes, followed by new episodes every Friday. Season one is currently available to binge on Apple TV+.

Season one earned a Peabody Award and Jason Sudeikis was recognized with a Screen Actors Guild Award and a Golden Globe. The comedy also picked up Best Comedy Series, Best Actor, and Best Supporting Actress (Hannah Waddingham) wins at the Critics Choice Awards, as well as two Writers Guild Awards. And Ted Lasso has the distinction of making the AFI Program of the Year list as the only comedy series.

Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence, Brendan Hunt, and Joe Kelly developed the series. In addition, Sudeikis executive produces along with Doozer Productions’ Lawrence and Jeff Ingold.

Jason Sudeikis is Ted Lasso, an American football coach hired to manage a British soccer team—despite having no experience. But what he lacks in knowledge, he makes up for with optimism, underdog determination…and biscuits.
