‘The Defenders’ First Trailer: Marvel Superheroes Team Up

The trailer for Netflix’s new original series Marvel’s The Defenders has just arrived. The Defenders is made up of the devil of Hell’s Kitchen (Daredevil), the smart-ass detective (Jessica Jones), the righteous ex-con (Luke Cage), and the kid with the glowing fist (Iron Fist) and is based on the Marvel comics. The series stars Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, and Finn Jones and features Sigourney Weaver (Alexandra), Elodie Yung (Elektra), Scott Glenn (Stick), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), Carrie-Anne Moss (Jeri Hogarth), Rachael Taylor (Trish Walker), Eka Darville (Malcolm Ducasse), Simone Missick (Misty Knight) and Jessica Henwick (Colleen Wing).

Marvel’s The Defenders is executive produced by Jeph Loeb, Marco Ramirez, and Doug Petrie. Netflix has set an August 18, 2017 at 12:01am PT premiere.

The Plot: Marvel’s The Defenders follows Daredevil (Cox), Jessica Jones (Ritter), Luke Cage (Colter) and Iron Fist (Jones), a quartet of singular heroes with one common goal – to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together.
