‘The Last Frontier’ Series Preview: Trailer, Cast, Plot and Premiere Date

Jason Clarke stars in Apple TV+’s The Last Frontier, a new thriller set in Alaska and premiering on October 10, 2025. The trailer shows Clarke’s character, a U.S. marshal, drawn into a manhunt after a plane crash.

The 10-episode season also stars Dominic Cooper, Haley Bennett, Simone Kessell, Dallas Goldtooth, Tait Blum, and Alfre Woodard.

The Last Frontier follows Frank Remnick (Clarke), the lone U.S. marshal in charge of the quiet, rugged barrens of Alaska. Remnick’s jurisdiction is turned upside down when a prison transport plane crashes in the remote wilderness, setting free dozens of violent inmates,” reads Apple TV+’s synopsis. “Tasked with protecting the town he’s vowed to keep safe, he begins to suspect the crash wasn’t an accident but the first step of a well-crafted plan with far-reaching and devastating implications.”

Jon Bokenkamp and Richard D’Ovidio co-created the series and serve as executive producers. Series star Jason Clarke also executive produces along with Laura Benson, Glenn Kessler, and Albert Kim. Sam Hargrave directed episodes one and three and executive produced.
