Netflix just released the first photos from The Midnight Club, a new horror series based on books by Christopher Pike. The series comes from Mike Flanagan – the creative mind behind The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor, and Midnight Mass – and Leah Fong (producer, The Haunting of Bly Manor).
The first season will feature episodes based on Pike’s Witch, Gimme a Kiss, Road to Nowhere, and The Wicked Heart.
The 10-episode season stars Iman Benson, Igby Rigney, Ruth Codd, Annarah Cymone, Chris Sumpter, and Adia. Aya Furukawa, Sauriyan Sapkota, Matt Biedel, Samantha Sloyan, Zach Gilford, and Heather Langenkamp also star.
The Midnight Club marks Mike Flanagan and Trevor Macy’s Intrepid Pictures’ first foray into young adult content. Flanagan, Macy, Fong, Julia Bicknell, and author Christopher Pike executive produce.
The series is set in 1994 and takes place at Brightcliffe Manor, with Netflix offering this description of the show:
“At a hospice with a mysterious history, the eight members of the Midnight Club meet each night at midnight to tell sinister stories – and to look for signs of the supernatural from the beyond.”
The Midnight Club premieres on October 7, 2022.
