‘The Mist’ Trailer: A New Take on the Stephen King Story

Spike’s just debuted the first trailer for the horror drama, The Mist, based on a Stephen King story. The 10 episode series will premiere on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 10pm ET/PT and stars Morgan Spector, Alyssa Sutherland, Gus Birney, Danica Curcic, Okezie Morro, Luke Cosgrove, Darren Pettie, Russell Posner, Dan Butler, Isiah Washington, Jr. and Frances Conroy.


Executive producer Christian Torpe adapted/expanded King’s story for the series. King’s The Mist was previously made into a feature film, directed by Frank Darabont and starring Thomas Jane, Laurie Holden, and Marcia Gay Harden.

The Plot: The Mist centers around a small town family that is torn apart by a brutal crime. As they deal with the fallout an eerie mist rolls in, suddenly cutting them off from the rest of the world, and in some cases, each other. Family, friends and adversaries become strange bedfellows, battling the mysterious mist and its threats, fighting to maintain morality and sanity as the rules of society break down.
