Netflix’s reality competition series The Mole has earned a second season. Season one premiered on October 7, 2022 and season two is currently in the casting stage.

The series is described as a high-stakes competition series that finds twelve players working together in challenges to add money to a pot that only one of them will win at the end. Among the players is one person who has secretly been designated “The Mole” and tasked with sabotaging the group’s money-making efforts. In the end, one will outlast their competition and expose The Mole to win the prize pot.

Both this version and ABC’s The Mole, which aired from 2001 to 2009, are based on the Belgian format The Mole (original title De Mol) from Bart De Pauw, Michel Vanhove, Michiel Devlieger, and Tom Lenaerts.

Chris Culvenor, Paul Franklin, Eden Gaha, and David Tibballs executive produce the Netflix series.

Casting is now open for the second season. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a valid passport. Per Netflix: “Are you a thrill seeker? A mastermind? Are you able to think fast when everything is on the line? Are you ready to test your mental and physical limits? If so…we want to hear from you.

Searching for players who have the mental and physical strength to navigate their way through an exciting covert operation and the chance to win a cash prize.”
