Max has released the first batch of photos from The Pitt, a new medical drama starring ER alum Noah Wyle. The first photos, which show Wyle back in scrubs as Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch, arrived along with the announcement that Max is targeting a January 2025 premiere.
The cast also includes Tracey Ifeachor as Dr. Collins, Patrick Marron Ball as Dr. Langdon, Supriya Ganesh as Dr. Mohan, and Fiona Dourif as Dr. McKay. Taylor Dearden plays Dr. King, Isa Briones is Dr. Santos, Gerran Howell is Whitaker, Shabana Azeez stars as Javadi, and Katherine LaNasa is Dana Evans.
“The Pitt is a realistic examination of the challenges facing healthcare workers in today’s America as seen through the lens of the frontline heroes working in a modern-day hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania,” reads Max’s synopsis.
“We are grateful to Warner Bros. Television and Max for giving us this opportunity to return to the world of urban medicine. The myriad of challenges facing the doctors, nurses, technicians, patients, and their families who work in the trenches of modern medicine have become only more pronounced in the decade and a half since we last visited their stories. We’re thrilled to be able to return to this world with the support of our partners and are looking forward to pushing the boundaries of dramatic realism and medical accuracy in following the lives of these heroic men and women,” stated Gemmill, Wyle, and Wells when the series was announced in March 2024.
The 15-episode series was created by R. Scott Gemmill, with Gemmill writing the first episode and executive producing. Additional executive producers include Noah Wyle, Emmy winner John Wells, Erin Jontow, Simran Baidwan, and Michael Hissrich. The drama is produced by John Wells Productions and Warner Bros. Television.
