‘The Recruit’ with Noah Centineo Debuts an Action-Filled Trailer

To All the BoysNoah Centineo slips into action mode to star in Netflix’s The Recruit, a new spy series from Alexi Hawley (Castle, The Rookie). The official trailer introduces Centineo playing a newbie lawyer employed by the CIA whose expectations for the job and the actual reality of working for the agency are vastly different.

“He thinks he’s working as a lawyer — the truth is you’re never just a lawyer at the CIA,” said Centineo in a recent interview with Netflix’s Tudum. “There’s so many more things going on, and that’s the world we explored with The Recruit.”

The eight-episode season also features Laura Haddock, Aarti Mann, Colton Dunn, Fivel Stewart, and Daniel Quincy Annoh. Kristian Bruun, Vondie Curtis Hall, Byron Mann, Angel Parker, and Kaylah Zander also star in season one.

Hawley serves as showrunner and executive producer. Additional executive producers include Noah Centineo, Doug Liman, Gene Klein and David Bartis on behalf of Hypnotic, Adam Ciralsky, and Charlie Ebersol.

The Recruit premieres on Netflix on Friday, December 16, 2022.

The Recruit centers around Owen Hendricks (Centineo), a young CIA lawyer whose first week on the job turns upside down when he discovers a threatening letter by former asset Max Meladze (Haddock), who plans to expose the agency unless they exonerate her of a serious crime. Owen quickly becomes entangled in a dangerous and often absurd world of power politics and mischievous players, as he travels the world in hopes of completing his assignment and making a mark at the CIA.
