‘The Rookie’ Season 7 Episode 13 Preview: Photos, “Three Billboards” Promo and Air Date

ABC has officially confirmed The Rookie will return for an eighth season. The network announced the renewal on social media, also confirming new seasons of 9-1-1, Will Trent, Shifting Gears, and Grey’s Anatomy are set for the 2025-2026 primetime season.

The cast is led by Nathan Fillion as John Nolan. Season seven stars Mekia Cox as Nyla Harper, Alyssa Diaz as Angela Lopez, Richard T. Jones as Sergeant Wade Grey, Melissa O’Neil as Lucy Chen, Eric Winter as Tim Bradford, Jenna Dewan as Bailey Nune, Shawn Ashmore as Wesley Evers, and Lisseth Chavez as Celina Juarez. Deric Augustine and Patrick Keleher recur as Miles and Seth.

Season seven of the popular drama continues with episode 13, “Three Billboards.” Episode 13 will air on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 9pm ET/PT.

“Three Billboards” Plot: When anti-LAPD billboards emerge throughout the city, the team searches for who’s responsible. Meanwhile, a car bombing prompts an investigation, Miles reconnects with an old friend, and John and Bailey assess their ability to adopt.

The Rookie Season 7 Details:

John Nolan, once the oldest rookie in the LAPD, has used his life experience, determination, and sense of humor to keep up with rookies 20 years his junior. Now recovering from a gunshot wound and feeling the effects of his age, John and the team welcome two new rookies and continue the hunt for two dangerous escaped prisoners who have very personal vendettas.
