The cast of HBO’s True Blood recently gathered for a special look back at the previous six seasons of the sexy vampire series prior to the premiere of the show’s final season. The 30-minute “Season 7: A Farewell to Bon Temps” retrospective features series creator Alan Ball and cast members Alexander Skarsgard (who’s been missing from all the trailers and teaser videos leading up to this seventh season), Stephen Moyer, Anna Paquin, Sam Trammell, Ryan Kwanten, Rutina Wesley, Kristin Bauer van Straten, Carrie Preston, and Nelsan Ellis discussing their memories from the set.
Skarsgard jokes about how he was shocked to be trying out for the role of Bill Compton (which ultimately went to Moyer) when there was a character described as a tall blonde Viking who was also integral to the Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris available. Other True Blood cast members remember their first scenes and how nerves occasionally got the better of them after learning they’d earned a spot in the True Blood cast.
Season seven kicks off on June 22, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT with an episode titled “Jesus Gonna Be Here.”
