Showtime Teases ‘Twin Peaks’ Limited Series

We’re still over a year away from actually being able to see the limited series, however Showtime’s already teasing us with a video from Twin Peaks. The teaser trailer aired during the finales of The Affair and Homeland and actually doesn’t give anything away about the series. Running less than one minute, the teaser video shows off the location and the Twin Peaks town welcome sign.


Twin Peaks is currently shooting with David Lynch on board as the limited series’ only director. Lynch also wrote the scripts with Mark Frost and executive produces. The limited series will star Kyle MacLachlan, Sheryl Lee, Amanda Seyfried, and Dana Ashbrook.

The Plot:

Widely considered one of the most groundbreaking and influential broadcast series of all time, Twin Peaks followed the inhabitants of a quaint northwestern town who were stunned after their homecoming queen Laura Palmer was shockingly murdered. The town’s sheriff welcomed the help of FBI agent Dale Cooper, who came to town to investigate the case. As Cooper conducted his search for Laura’s killer, the town’s secrets were gradually exposed. The mystery that ensued set off an eerie chain of events that plunged the inhabitants of Twin Peaks into a darker examination of their very existence. Twenty-five years later, the story continues…
