‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 8 Episode 4 Preview: An Eternity of Misery

The CW’s The Vampire Diaries season eight episode three was a heartbreaker for fans of Tyler Lockwood (played by Michael Trevino). Although his fate wasn’t confirmed, Tyler’s chances of survival didn’t look good. Damon is so far under the control of the siren that he’s in the ‘burning bridges’ stage from which it’s getting increasingly difficult to return. Episode four of the show’s final season will move Damon’s story forward while bringing back into play Matt (played by Zach Roerig)…hopefully not as another victim to add to Damon’s body count.

Airing on November 11, 2016 at 8pm ET/PT and titled ‘An Eternity of Misery,’ episode four was directed by Rob Hardy from a script by Brett Matthews and Neil Reynolds.

The Vampire Diaries cast includes Ian Somerhalder as Damon, Paul Wesley as Stefan, Kat Graham as Bonnie, Michael Malarkey as Enzo, Candice King as Caroline, and Matt Davis as Alaric.

The ‘An Eternity of Misery’ Plot: A SUPERNATURAL ORIGIN STORY — Tasked with finding a mysterious artifact, Damon’s (Somerhalder) latest mission takes him to Texas where a violent run-in with Peter Maxwell (guest star Joel Gretsch) leads to a surprising revelation.

Meanwhile, after gaining the upper hand in their fight to save Damon and Enzo (Malarkey), Stefan (Wesley) and Alaric (Matt Davis) team up and uncover the origins of the mysterious force they’re up against. Finally, Matt (Zach Roerig) returns to the fray after his past and present collide in an unexpected way.
