Scrooged star Bill Murray returns to holiday fare with his A Very Murray Christmas variety show featuring an A-list cast celebrating the winter holidays. Murray reunited with Lost in Translation writer and director Sofia Coppola for the star-studded special which will premiere on Netflix on December 4, 2015.
Among Murray’s celebrity friends showing up on A Very Murray Christmas are George Clooney, Paul Shaffer, Amy Poehler, Julie White, Dimitri Dimitrov, Michael Cera, Chris Rock, David Johansen, Maya Rudolph, Jason Schwartzman, Jenny Lewis, the band Phoenix, Frederic Moulin, Rashida Jones, and Miley Cyrus.
The Plot:
A Very Murray Christmas is an homage to the classic variety show featuring Bill Murray playing himself, as he worries no one will show up to his TV show due to a terrible snow storm in New York City. Through luck and perseverance, guests arrive at the Carlyle hotel to help him; dancing and singing in holiday spirit.
