‘The Emmys’ – Weird Al Yankovic Performs Theme Songs

Weird Al Yankovic took to the stage at the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards and put a twist on theme songs including parodies of Mad Men (pointing out the fact that Jon Hamm hasn’t won, but he’s still Jon Hamm), Scandal, Modern Family, and Homeland. But the Game of Thrones portion of the theme song tribute really stood out.

Warning viewers not to get attached to certain characters, Yankovic, joined by Andy Samberg, finished the song by telling George R.R. Martin we need more scripts and to write the books faster. A typewriter was even delivered to Martin’s seat in the audience.
