‘Will Trent’ Episode 1 Preview: Cast, Photos, and Plot Details

The new drama Will Trent is joining ABC’s primetime lineup on January 3, 2023, airing in the 10pm time slot following new episodes of The Rookie and The Rookie: Feds. The series is based on Karin Slaughter’s bestselling book series and stars Ramón Rodríguez (The Affair) as the titular character.

The season one cast also includes Erika Christensen (Ten Days in the Valley) as Angie Polaski, Iantha Richardson (This Is Us) as Faith Mitchell, Jake McLaughlin (Quantico) as Michael Ormewood, and Sonja Sohn (The Chi) as Amanda Wagner.

Liz Heldens, Daniel Thomsen, Karin Slaughter, and Oly Obst serve as executive producers.

“Pilot” Plot: When a murder investigation reveals there’s more to the story than meets the eye, Special Agent Will Trent of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) relies on his keen instincts and unique experience to uncover the truth. Along the way, he also reunites with a part of his past that helped shape him into the agent he is now.

Will Trent Synopsis:

Special Agent Will Trent of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) was abandoned at birth and endured a harsh coming-of-age in Atlanta’s overwhelmed foster care system. But now, determined to use his unique point of view to make sure no one is abandoned like he was, Will Trent has the highest clearance rate in the GBI.
