True Blood Cast Members Participate in a Social Media Event

True Blood Season 6 PosterIn support of the kick-off of season six of HBO’s sexy vampire series True Blood, 13 cast members will take part in a live social media event from the Fangtasia set. Part one of the two-part event takes place on June 16, 2013 at 9am ET when #secretsfromtheset will be revealed on Facebook (, Twitter (, Instagram ( and Vine. Part two is an interactive pre-show, #TrueBlood: Live from Set, airing on HBO at 8:45 p.m. ET/PT.
The #TrueBlood: Live from Set event lets fans ask questions via (you can start submitting your questions now) and cast members Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, Alexander Skarsgård, Ryan Kwanten, Rutina Wesley, Sam Trammell, Nelsan Ellis, Deborah Ann Woll, Carrie Preston, Todd Lowe, Chris Bauer, Kristin Bauer van Straten and Joe Manganiello will answer as many as possible. And Michael McMillian will give fans a tour of the True Blood sets.
“Social media has been core to the marketing strategy for True Blood since the first season, leading to one of the most engaged fan bases of any television series,” said Pamela Levine, executive vice president, HBO Marketing. “#TrueBlood: Live From the Set will reward our devotees by allowing them to both participate in and affect the live broadcast through a unique intersection of linear television and digital media.”
Season 6 will premiere on Sunday, June 16 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT right after the live show.
