Amy Adams Earns a Special Award from the Costume Designers Guild

Amy Adams will not be taking much time off this awards season. Last week she earned a Best Actress nomination (her fifth Oscar nomination) for her performance in David O. Russell’s American Hustle and won a Golden Globe, and this week she’s been named the winner of the LACOSTE Spotlight Award from the Costume Designers Guild.

Adams will receive the special award during a ceremony on February 22, 2014 in Beverly Hills.

According to LACOSTE and the Costume Designers Guild, the Spotlight Award is given to “an actor whose talent and career personifies an enduring commitment to excellence, including a special awareness of the role and importance of costume design.”

Adams’ credits include Her, The Master, The Fighter, Enchanted, Man of Steel, Doubt, Julie & Julia, Trouble with the Curve, On The Road, The Muppets, Night At The Museum: Battle of The Smithsonian, Sunshine Cleaning, Charlie Wilson’s War, Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day, and Catch Me If You Can.
