Sally Field Will Present a Pioneer of the Year Award to Kathleen Kennedy

CinemaCon has announced producer Kathleen Kennedy will be the recipient of the Pioneer of the Year award at this year’s annual gathering of motion picture theatre industry personnel. The organization has also announced Sally Field will have the honor of presenting the award to Kennedy at the April 17, 2013 gala in Las Vegas.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt has been tapped to host the award ceremony.

“Sally and Joseph are remarkable talents and we are so pleased that they can join us for this special evening honoring Kathleen,” stated Chris Aronson, President of the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation and President of Domestic Distribution for Fox. “Kathleen’s creative vision and her commitment to helping those in need is a powerful inspiration, and we look forward to presenting her with the 2013 Pioneer of the Year award.”

Past honorees include Cecil B. DeMille, Jack Warner, Darryl F. Zanuck, Frank G. Mancuso, Jack Valenti, Sumner Redstone, Sherry Lansing, Marc Shmuger, David Linde, Dick Cook, and Jeffrey Katzenberg.
