Warner Bros Hosts Special Man of Steel Screenings for the Military

Warner Bros Pictures announced they’ll be hosting special advance screenings of the new Superman movie Man of Steel at an assortment of military bases in appreciation of our troops. And the folks at Edwards Air Force Base will even be treated to a special appearance by Superman himself as Henry Cavill will be on hand on June 8, 2013 to introduce the film and greet military personnel. Part of the new big-budget action film was shot at the base and many of the military personnel stationed there took part in the shoot as extras.
 
WB is also hosting the advance screenings “in recognition of First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden’s Joining Forces initiative (www.whitehouse.gov/joiningforces)” and a message from Mrs. Obama and Dr. Biden will play right before the film screens.
 
Screenings for servicemen and women plus their families will take place on either Saturday or Sunday at the following locations:
 
Army: Ft. Meade, Baltimore, Maryland; Carlisle Barracks, Carlisle, Pennsylvania; Ft. Lewis, Tacoma, Washington; Ft. Warren, Cheyenne, Wyoming; Ft. Campbell, Clarksville, Tennessee; Ft. The Plot:
 
From Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures comes Man of Steel, starring Henry Cavill in the role of Clark Kent/Superman, under the direction of Zack Snyder. A young boy learns that he has extraordinary powers and is not of this Earth. As a young man, he journeys to discover where he came from and what he was sent here to do. But the hero in him must emerge if he is to save the world from annihilation and become the symbol of hope for all mankind.
 
The cast also includes Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Antje Traue, Ayelet Zurer, Christopher Meloni and Russell Crowe. WB is releasing Man of Steel in theaters on June 14th.
