I’m seeing a pattern forming… This weekend Ethan Hawke will be seen playing a father who has to go to extreme measures to keep his family safe in The Purge. And then in his next film, Getaway, Hawke plays a husband who has to go to extreme measures to keep his wife from being murdered. The new trailer for Getaway‘s just been released and it appears Hawke will turn action hero as he tries to make a kidnapper free his wife. The film also features Selena Gomez, Jon Voight, Rebecca Budig, and Bruce Payne.
Getaway hits theaters on August 30, 2013.
The Plot:
Getaway is an action thriller in which former race car driver Brent Magna (Ethan Hawke) is pitted against the clock. Desperately trying to save the life of his kidnapped wife, Brent commandeers a custom Shelby Cobra Mustang, taking it and its unwitting owner (Selena Gomez) on a high-speed race against time, at the command of the mysterious villain holding his wife hostage.
