The Earth is under attack by aliens in the upcoming sci-fi movie The 5th Wave based on the bestselling book series by Rick Yancey. In the new trailer for the Columbia Pictures release, humans attempt to band together to keep unfriendly visitors from outer space from taking over the planet. Directed by J Blakeson, the cast is led by Chloë Grace Moretz and Ron Livingston and includes Maggie Siff, Nick Robinson, Alex Roe, Maika Monroe, Zackary Arthur, and Liev Schreiber.
The 5th Wave opens in theaters on January 15, 2016.
The Plot:
Four waves of increasingly deadly attacks have left most of Earth decimated. Against a backdrop of fear and distrust, Cassie (Chloë Grace Moretz) is on the run, desperately trying to save her younger brother. As she prepares for the inevitable and lethal 5th wave, Cassie teams up with a young man who may become her final hope – if she can only trust him.
