The story of how the creepy doll introduced in The Conjuring and featured in 2014’s Annabelle came to be possessed unfolds in Annabelle: Creation, directed by David F. Sandberg (Lights Out). New Line Cinema’s just unveiled the first trailer for the horror film starring Stephanie Sigman, Talitha Bateman, Lulu Wilson, Philippa Coulthard, Grace Fulton, Lou Lou Safran, Samara Lee, Anthony LaPaglia, Miranda Otto, and newcomer Tayler Buck. Annabelle: Creation is set to open in theaters on August 11, 2017.
Annabelle‘s Gary Dauberman wrote the script and James Wan and Peter Safran produced, with Richard Brener, Walter Hamada, Hans Ritter, and Dave Neustadter executive producing.
The Plot: In Annabelle: Creation, several years after the tragic death of their little girl, a dollmaker and his wife welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home, soon becoming the target of the dollmaker’s possessed creation, Annabelle.
