‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ New Trailer Showcases Water Scenes

The new trailer for the second Avatar film shows it earned its full official title – Avatar: The Way of Water. The water scenes are plentiful and gorgeous, but the trailer also indicates a war is brewing and that James Cameron still loves action scenes.

The first sequel’s cast includes Sam Worthington as Jake Sully, Zoe Saldaña as Neytiri, Sigourney Weaver as Kiri, Stephen Lang as Miles Quaritch, and Kate Winslet as Ronal. James Cameron wrote, directed, and produced. Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver are co-writers and came up with the story along with Cameron, Josh Friedman, and Shane Salerno.

The Lightstorm Entertainment Production is produced by Jon Landau, with David Valdes and Richard Baneham executive producing.

20th Century Studios has set a December 16, 2022 theatrical release.
